What is PBS?
At Hampton, our purpose is to support and lead the establishment and maintenance of a best practice Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) model. At HSHS, this is explicitly taught and consistently embodied by staff and students to create a school culture that is safe, inclusive and orderly with student engagement and learning at its core.
Our focus as a PBS school is to encourage all students to act with CORRE values, Caring, Organised, Respectful, Resilient and Engaged.
Reward Points
Hampton Senior High School has four houses: Jupiter, Neptune, Terra and Vulcan. As part of our rewards system, teachers issue students with House Points for demonstrating positive values and skills, especially those outlined on the Matrix. Points can be awarded for attendance, preparedness, positive attitude, effort, achievement and participating in school events. Participate all the time and contribute to the total points for your house!
Students can check their house points on Compass through the dashboard tab. Rewards are issued on a tier-based system. Once you reach a certain number of points, you will be eligible for a specific reward.
CORRE Store
House Points can be accumulated and “spent” at the CORRE Store. The CORRE Store is located in the main quad.
