School Clubs

Art Club meets weekly at lunchtime and is open to all students. Whether you’re looking to explore your creativity, work on class projects, or dive into personal art, the club provides a supportive environment to make and create. Students can collaborate on whole-school projects or focus on their individual artwork.

After School Volleyball is open to all students, regardless of skill level, and meets once a week after school. The club focuses on casual fun and team-building in a relaxed atmosphere. It’s a great way for students to get active and meet new people.

shOUT is a safe and supportive space for LGBTQIA+ students, meeting weekly during lunch. The club provides a welcoming environment where students can connect, share experiences, and discuss issues important to the community, fostering inclusivity and support within the school.

Follow the Dream (FTD) is an Aspirant Program for Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander students who meet benchmarks in attendance, grades, and behaviour.

FTD offers after-school tuition from 2:45 pm – 5:00 pm, Monday to Thursday, with a short afternoon tea break. Students receive support with homework, assignments, assessments, and subject-specific extensions with tutors.

Each student has an Individual Learning Plan to track progress, set goals, and explore future pathways. They also gain exposure to universities, workplaces, and training organizations through excursions.

Cultural learning is a key focus, fostering identity and knowledge through incursions, excursions, and camps. Excursions often include FTD students from Kiara College, Dianella College, and Morley SHS, as the program runs across these schools.

Kevin Bynder (Aboriginal Artist) is the designer of the Hampton SHS and Kiara College’s FTD Logo. Read Kevin’s story(link) behind the FTD logo.

Expression of Interest

Homework club runs in the Library on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons for one hour.  Teachers volunteer to assist students with homework and assignments at this time.  All students are welcome.

At Hampton Senior High School homework is part of our practice. Setting homework assists our aim of academic excellence and improvement.

Homework provides an opportunity to extend student learning.  Homework should be part of student routine, consolidate student learning, allow time for students to complete work and prepare students for test situations. Homework is set at the discretion of subject teachers where they see further work as necessary.  Senior School students should have a regular study/revision plan in place for themselves.

Our Student Council at Hampton Senior High School is an avenue for Student Voice to be included in the school’s decision making process, an opportunity for students to model leadership skills in our community and a group that facilitates opportunity for the whole student population.

The objectives of the Student Council include:

  • Building school spirit by encouraging students to participate in school activities.
  • Supporting the wellbeing of the school’s student body as a whole.
  • Providing an environment for students to share and have their opinions heard.
  • Developing relationships and supporting the diversity within the school.
  • Bringing the school and wider community closer together by supporting community initiatives and charities.
  • Creating leadership opportunities for students across all year groups

Student Council applications take place at the beginning of each school year.
