Enrolments

Hampton Senior High School is a local-intake school. The State Government determines the local-intake area. Any child whose usual place of residence is within the intake area for the school will be offered a place, given they have completed the enrolment process. For more information on the local-intake boundaries please visit Schools Online, or view our local intake map here: Local Intake Area Map

The priority for students who live outside the local intake area is in the following order:

  • The student has been selected into one of the Schools Department of Education approved specialist programs.
  • A child with a sibling enrolled at the school for that year; this does not include a sibling who has gained enrolment through specialist programs.
  • A child who lives closest to the school and there is capacity (not closest to the boundary of a local intake are school)

  • Birth certificate OR passport

Enrolment Process

Enrolment at Hampton Senior High School is a two-stage process.

  1. Application for Enrolment – A parent/guardian first lodges an Application for Enrolment form with the school, along with supporting documents. The principle will consider the information provided and determine if the child is eligible for enrolment. Please ensure all information relevant to the child that will assist in the review process is included. Families will receive a response at the earliest convenience of our staff.
  2. Enrolment – If your child is eligible for enrolment, you will be provided with further information by the school and required to complete an enrolment pack.  Enrolment is not finalised until this pack is completed and returned. The school may request further information to support the planning for an appropriate education program for your child

Enrolling into Year 7

Please see, frequently asked questions for further information

Parents seeking to enrol their child at Hampton Senior High School for the following Year 7 school year will need to submit an Application for Enrolment form, with the necessary supporting documentation. Year 7 applications are due by the first Friday of Term 3.

The school will advise parents of the outcome for their child’s enrolment application from mid-August.

Specialist and Enrichment Program

Students interested in any of the Specialist or Enrichment Programs need to complete a Specialist and Enrichment Program Expression of Interest.

For incoming Year 7 students, they are required to attend a workshop which is held when they’re in Year 6. Workshop attendance is required along with an application to enrol, to be considered within the chosen program/s. Workshop information is supplied to families who submit the expression of interest form. We also provide our local primary schools with the relevant information.

If you are enrolling your child into the current school year, please specify which program they wish to join on the application to enrol.
